Council Committee Work Session, 3-22-2011


My summaries in blue.  Questions/comments welcome, as always.

Personnel Committee
A) Employee Health Insurance
Short version; it’s going to cost more. At this point the question is how much more it’s going to cost, and how much of that cost will be borne by the employees in the form of higher deductibles and copays.
B) Evaluation Process for City Attorney, City Administrator and City Secretary
Discussion of whether any changes are recommended.

Planning and Development Committee
A) Downtown District
Various questions regarding implementation.
B) Drive-Thru Convenience/Grocery Store
Clarification of intent regarding potential zoning for drive-thru service at stores which a) sell primarily alcohol, or b) sell alcohol, but not as a primary product

Public Works Committee
A) Quantitative Financial Information and Utility Profile
No action required.
B) Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency Plan
No changes recommended. Full text of plans available at city website.
C) Water Well Monitoring Report
No action required.
